Mature: Zebra

A zebra died and went to the pearly gates off Heaven. When he got

there, he asks St. Peter at the gates if he was white with black stripes, or

black with white stripes. Peter says, "You know what, I don't really know,

go ask God, he will know. He's right over there." So the zebra goes and waits in

line for a few hours, and when he finally gets to God, the zebra asks, "Am I

white with black stripes or black with white stripes?" God says, "You are what

you are." Disappointed, the zebra goes back to St. Peter. Peter says,

"OK, I'm curious, what did he say?" The zebra says, "He said 'you are what

you are,' but that doesn't make any damned sense!" St. Peter tells him, "Oh

yes it does, you are white with black stripes." The zebra asks, "How do you

know?" Then St. Peter says, "If you were black with white stripes, God woulda

said, 'you is what you is.' "
