problems with 7800gtx and BHDTS

i have BHDTS installed and fully updated

i recently upgraded my gaming pc to a EVGA 7800GTX KO video card.

the card runs great letting me max out the settings in all my other games at my monitor limit of 1600x1200

however in bhd i max out at 1024x768 in the game because the video test fails me at the higher resoulution of 1280x1024

i had a 6600GT before and i could play maxed at 1280x1024 (so that resoulution used to work for me)

i'm puzzled as to why this is, and why its not working, i was also woundering if there was a way of going even beyond 1280x1024 but atleast to be able to play at that resoulution would be great...

i guess what i'm basicaly asking is if anyone knows why this is, if there is anything i can do to solve my problem, and if there is a way to manual overide the limits and maybe even go higher?

thanks for any replies

Well i havn't tried to reupdate windows since the new card, i will try that but not changing anything but the hardware (card itself) i no longer could get a pass on the higher resoulution, so i thought its a bug with the game, game is old, card is brand new technology. but i will try to update windows if there is an update to see if that can fix anything.

about the video card drivers however i've got even newer then what you've listed 78.01 was released on sept 2 and thats what i had on both cards.

let me know if there are any other ideas i can try thanks all and thanks again chief

sorry i been sick for some days now i see what i can dig-up for you.

man that thing cost a lot USD-$574.00 around about. gee

still searching....

1.) "evga.com/Tech
they are a tech support forum there for their cards

2.) there is a newer driver release now:
ForceWare Release 80
Version: 81.94
Release Date: November 14, 2005
Link: "click-here"

last you may need to reset your Bois setting to [PCI] type video card, i found the cards run better under that setting.

1.) restart your system as it start to boot-up press F1 key tapping the key till your Bois screen come up. in there should be listing video AGP change it to PCI. this way system use the card to the max. it works better.

if it don't workout you can reset it back. should work.
===========================================
they all so have Bois software there for use to help out, if you need it ask their tech how to get your GFX-Card to work better they would know the ins and out of it. in their forum.

i wish i know more about that card but never had one of them and sorry. i dig-up what i could.

Smile Same Problem

I have a dual 7800 Gt SLI and also a 6800 Nvidia Video Cards which fails test above 1024x768 in the Comanche 4 Game. Wanted to run 1600x1200 in game, but can't. In two totally different computers. Latest updates on Video Drivers, WinXP Home, and Bios. Fails nowhere else. Nova Logics test program must have a problem with the newer video cards.
