Why did you start making maps for Delta Force?
I started making maps because I needed something fun to do during my spare time.

Did you find it hard at first?
Not at all…..with all the tutorials on the web; I consider them very helpful.

Have you ever read the mission Editor Manual on the DF CD?
Yes, in the beginning….and I get back to it for some references.

Useful but limited info…..

I can’t tell the difference…more stable maybe.

I believe, I got it from this website, the unlocked one.

BMS to MIS Converter and then the Environmental Tool

What is the easiest game type to make a map for?
KOTH or TKOTH….just set up a zone; and VOILA!
Of course, you have to pass setting up the rest…

What is the hardest game type to make a map for?
I believe the Single Player one…..I have not tried it….and it would demand much time compared to others.

What is the longest time it has taken you to make a map / mission?
Considering the test time that I dedicated on every map and sizes, I say 4-6 weeks

Did you ever make a map before you found out how to zoom in / out in the MED?
Really! Can you do that? See….I still need to go back to the Manual. LOL

What is the most useful thing in the MED (e.g. group rotate, different terrain views, absolute height)?
Group Rotate…yes…Undo button….I clicked on this lots of times.

What feature is the MED missing that would make map making a lot easier?
The 3D test of the actual map without going to the actual game….spends too much time on this one.

6-7 maps

Nope

Do you submit your maps to any sites?
Yes

Yes….their comments have inspired me to do it better the next time.

Sometime in Jan.2003, I played a map; I believed the server was just testing it….” 3 compound” is the title; I didn’t get the author’s name.

Can you name any other people who make great maps (apart from yourself)?
There’s a lot of them and I’d rather not mention any names because I might miss someone’s and I don’t consider myself on their caliber.

How did you learn to make maps (self, website, friend etc)?
I learned making maps all by myself, from tutorials, and from past comments from my previous maps.

Would you like to mention anyone who has helped you out a lot?
Mostly from comments made from the other site….they have encouraged me to do better next time….with their kind words…of course. It surely helps.

Do you have a tip that would be helpful to someone who was new to map making?
Patience, don’t get too excited, do a lot of testing on your map before releasing it, do some experiments, and spend some time developing your ideas.

Have you ever made a map with the full amount of items?
Yes, I believe half of them.

Nope

Dvdg2, terrain tile 11/12

Nope

Nope….I’d rather spend the time on map-making right away.

Nope….maybe I should start doing it.

Never thought about that….

If someone steals a map, should the original maker be angry, flattered, or both?
Flattered maybe…..angry? not at all….its only a map….I’d rather get angry on to something, like the current effects of globalization. (Rich getting richer…Poor getting poorer)

Do you like Nova's multiplayer maps?
Yes, they’ve inspired me to do much better.

Do you think your maps are better?
I don’t want to judge on this matter. Not a Pro on this one.

Do you like Nova's single player missions?
Yes, only I wish my slow computer can handle them….P3 600

Have you ever used a BMS to MIS converter to see how another map was made?
Yes, When using this utility there’s always a tendency to copy/paste an item to your map but make sure you (if you plan to) have the permission of the author if you’re planning to use/copy one of the custom-made items or give them credit for it.

Do you get ideas / inspiration from other maps?
Yes

Which is better: night maps or day maps?
Day map, but there are items I would like to see/hear on night maps.

Ever made a map in the shape of a smiley face?
Nope
